Awesome first time plane
Review by Pilot86 on 1 Jan 2017review stating Awesome first time plane
I got this as a gift for Christmas. I have never flown an RC airplane in my life, and this was easy to fly my first time. I've been a licensed fixed wing pilot for fourteen years so I don't if that helps at all, but regardless this was easy to fly and isn't super sensitive to control inputs. The only complaint I have is that the nose of the plane is easily susceptible to breaking upon a nose dive into the ground. I wish they had some type of rubber or hard plastic on the nose. If you fly it over a grass field it's not a problem.

Review by Mart225 on 9 May 2014review stating There is no other plane like Duet in the WORLD!
I have the Duet for about a 3 weeks...THIS AWESOME PLANE FLYES REALLY EASY AND IT IS AMAZING!!!If you are a totally beginner and you want to get into hobby this is the right plane. It has 3 Channel control (really easy to fly), it is not so fast (if you are beginner the plane must be slow, otherwise you will crash after you take off), helps to understand the basics of aerodynamics and much more, it is very hard to destroy it (when you read all the instructions and understand them and follow them the chances of crash are soo low but if you crash no problem it is very durable, even if there is a crack or something is broken it can be fixed really fast with some tape or foam glue). The plane can be flown in winds but if this is your first flight wait until the wind calms down! And don't forget to read all instructions carefully, and to follow them, they are not printed to be some sort of junk paper they are your guide and they are the path of the happiness and the long live of your Duet! Have a fun day with Duet!

Review by Dan L. on 10 Apr 2020review stating Duet, slope soarer on my house
I bought this plane to teach my wife to fly and it is perfect for first timers, when there is only a wee bit of wind. I have been flying forever and fly power, gliders, electric, etc. Last time out we had a bit of a breeze, measured at 3 - 5mph, with thermals coming thru, so, I tried slope soaring with the Duet, using our ranch style house as the slope. The wind varied in direction so, during the flights, I just changed sides, to fly from the side of the house facing into the wind. I had four flights of 20 minutes per battery. Combo of no throttle, slope soaring, and catching thermals. And it is easy to take off and land on a 6’ x 6’ slab of concrete we have out back. What a hoot! The lift wasn’t enough to fly my light air slope soarer but perfect for the little Duet. I may need to pick up my own Duet so my wife can fly hers.

Great Micro Beginner
Review by iday on 14 Jul 2020review stating Great Micro Beginner
Bought this on sale for my father who has always been into RCs, but never managed to learn airplanes. This was easy enough to fly that he had great learning experiences right out of the box. Perfect for children also as long as you remain aware or how delicate the aircraft is. The foam is easy to fix though with foam safe CA and tape.

Excellent Beginner plane
Review by Rc P. on 5 Feb 2020review stating Excellent Beginner plane
This plane Flys smooth and handles really good! Tons of fun to fly! I recommend this plane to anyone new to the hobby. Comes complete everything is included in the box to get you started. I do recommend buying a few extra batteries only so you don't have to wait so long between flights. In the beginning it had one big crash and a couple hard landings but you couldn't tell this plane still looks like it did when it came out of the box beautiful. Handles a little wind great I haven't had any real windy days but so far it handles great. Great plane to fly both outdoors or indoors in a big gym. I prefer to fly outdoors so that's why when reviewing the planes I found that this plane was great outdoors.
