I almost bought the Traxxas Spartan but I am glad I took my time doing research and reading or watching reviews on youtube and several websites. When I compared the electronics, hardware and materials used to build this boat compared to the Spartan, the Voracity has better ESC, motor, better turn fins, better trim tabs and a nice sealed canopy. Some reviewers complained about the canopy being too hard to open. I had the same issue but I slipped a credit card between the canopy and the hull and slowly wiggled and pried around the rear of the canopy to pop it open the 1st time. After opening and closing the canopy a few times it will loosen up. Patience is virtue. I am running 6S and have no doubt this boat does 50+. The boat corners tight and quick, but just like a car you have to slow down for turns a little hear and there. I use the Dynamite marine tape on the hatch. Like others I have noticed water in the hull. I remove all of the hardware on the rear of the boat and used Permatex (blue color to match the boat) RTV gasket maker around all of the holes and reinstalled all hardware snugged but not tightened till oozed out the sides of hardware, waited 1 hour then tightened the hardware completely. I have no more water in the hull from the hardware attachments. Very little comes from flex shaft like a few drops maybe. I have flipped over the voracity once and had to swim after it. There was no water inside after being upside down in the water for 10 minutes. I usually run in a local pond and some creeks and once in the river catching a few wake jumps from real boats. The voracity beat a bass boat with an 85HP motor in a strait up drag race from a dead stop after the gentleman asked a lot of questions about the Voracity. The rudder is a breakaway or kick up type. I had hit a stick in the water that I did not see as it was floating under the surface and the rudder kicked up and had almost no steering. Don't freak if it happens. I use small zip ties instead of the nylon screws and get the same effect as I hit some sort of debris in the river and the rudder kicked up again. This protects the stern from being damaged. I did not care for the graphics so I removed them right away when I 1st got the Voracity and waxed the hull and canopy with Meguiars car wax. I have 38 runs in this boat now and the only issue I came across were a few outer strands on the flexshaft broke or cracked. If you keep running a damaged cable it will explode and damage the stuffing tube and possibly the hull. I ordered a new cable and parked the boat. I have 4 5000 50C 3S packs and after 2 runs I always remove the shaft, inspect the whole boat and clean off old grease and inside the stuffing tube as well when I get home right away. You don't want to run it and put it away wet. Easing into the throttle more may help extend the cable life, but I mostly drove mine like I stole it. I also remove the Teflon insert and the prop strut to clean it too. I use Supertech Marine grease from walmart now but borrowed a bit of Dynamite marine grease from a fellow boater. I am going to order the Dynamite marine grease as it is more tacky, seems more slick and stays in the shaft better. Hands down this boat kicks butt!!!!! Just keep up on maintenance and this boat will be reliable. I hope this review helps.

Right out of the box this boat handles amazing, no adjusting was required at all for my boat. Screaming fast on 6s with no bad behaviors, you could probably go full throttle the entire run of you wanted to. Even after a very fast run on 6s the electronics remain cool to the touch, no worries here about frying your esc. The running hardware all appears to be of very good quality and precisely mounted on the transom

I own a BlackJack 29 and a Zelos 48, 2 catamarans. They are great boats in their own way, but, the way this boat corners and carvers by leaning into the turn is magic. Some complain below it's not a rough water boat....no, it's not, it's not a deep V. For those who want to jump waves, buy the Recoil 26 self-right boat and get air born. Don't expect that from a sleek, low-gunwale boat. Build quality, paint, decals, water-proof everything are a work of art. And, the easiest boat in the world to install the batteries into. Other boats take a lot of time to snug the batteries in, not this one. Eye candy and the great HH customer support that no one else offers. I bought a HobbyKing Inception at $300 but the servo injested water on day 1 and I had to rebuild the receiver into a Traxxas receiver box versus the silly Chinese balloon method. You get what you pay for. The Inception pulls the Verocity out of the hole but the Verocity comes back and beats it on tope end.

Be sure to grease the flex shaft after 2 runs , I greased the flex shaft before my first run. Simple to maintain , a few debates if you run in salt water. My suggestion is to google your local park to find nearby fresh water lakes , I was surprised to find as many close by than I initially thought living in south east Florida.
The boat will give a low voltage cutoff to at least allow you to power yourself back to shore , I assume that keeps the batteries from over discharging and to prevent you from swimming out to retrieve it.
if you want full potential get the 3s batteries, not too sure of my current speeds but I do know it passes up the ski boats at the park I was recently at.

Be sure to get the Dynamite tool kit to maintain the boat "if you are lucky enough to buy 1" as well as the marine flex tape in case you flip as well as the marine grease.

Great looking boat! Fast and stable. Nice quality motor and electronics! The rudder, trim tabs and turn fins are of nice material as well. Can't wait to see V2 voracity!
