Easy and Inexpensive Swash Plate Leveling

I purchased the Blade Swash plate leveling tool for under 10 bucks and it was beyond "worth it". I think it took all of 10-12 minutes. It was super easy with the instructions in the manual tab under the product here at HH.com. Once completed I took my 450 3d out for a spin and guess what? She moved backward and to the left. Doh! I forgot to zero the trims. I set her down, moved elevation and aileron trims to zero and spun her up again. Wow I felt like jumping up and down and doing the Harlem Shake. She hovered so steady it seemed as if she was held in place by some invisible force field!!! For the price of this tool {It's solid aluminum for jimmy's sake} and the simplicity of the setup it's crazy not to pick one up if you want your heli to hover rock-solid. I definitely put it off way too long.

It works

I bought this device to be sure I had a level swash for my new 450x. Low and behold, the swash was not level. Followed the instructions (which is not included with the tool, but you can download them on the manuals & support tab) and now my swash is level. The best part of this is you don't have to disconnect & remove the head & blades. I recommend this swash leveler.

So simple to level the swash. You do not even have to remove the head like with other leveling tools.

Swash Leveling Tool

Very useful and well made product. However, the instructions should say that for a flybarless heli, don't use the Tx subtrims to level the servos. Use the Servo Adjustment mode of the flight controller.
