Great Design : Apprentice 15e Spinner
Review by Sport S. on 8 Jun 2016review stating Great Design : Apprentice 15e Spinner
The Apprentice 15e spinner/prop mounting design is the easiest and best I've used yet. It only takes slight pressure on the back of the spinner back plate to get the to spinner pop right off for ease in getting to the prop. However, in ground impacts, the spinner protects the plane by absorbing and dissipating the associated energy shock. It also seems to protect the propeller. I've only had to replace one spinner and that one saved the plane from further damage. I've yet to replace a propeller!

Toughest spinner I have ever seen.

This spinner is one tough product. My 5 new students have only broken one of these in there many bumps against curves and topple over landings.

Nice Spinner and Backplate
Review by Apprentice F. on 21 Jul 2015review stating Nice Spinner and Backplate
Whenever you order spare props make sure you have a spare spinner cone and backplate set. If your Apprentice takes a hard frontal hit, you'll need this set and probably a new prop as well. Even though it isn't required, I balance my backplate along with my prop for extra smooth performance. There is a great video on the Horizon Hobby website on how to balance a prop. After the prop is balanced, I add my backplate to the prop and balance both together. This spinner and backplate set also enhances the look of the Apprentice. Very reasonably priced, so keep a spare or two on hand. Helpful hint-- To remove the spinner easily, squeeze the rear of the backplate and the spinner pops right off.
