I was researching on how to tow a banner with my airplane when I ran across this little gem. This is made for what I needed. It was very easy to install and set up on my radio. I didn't have to do a bunch of "rigging" like some of the other options I found around the internet.
I purchased the first one from my local hobby shop. Unfortunately, I managed to get the one that didn't work. When I worked the switch on my radio, the thing just made a loud screeching sound and would not release the payload. It sounded like a servo with a stripped gear. My hobby shop would not replace it because their policy on electronic equipment is that they will only give refunds on UNOPENED packages. So I contacted Horizon Hobby. After providing proof of purchase and a couple pictures of the installed unit, they hooked me right up with a replacement. These guys are GREAT!!! I am giving 5 stars even though the first one did not work properly, because of the outstanding customer service and problem resolution that these folks provide! I am a true fan of Horizon Hobby and their products!

Have been waiting for over a year for these to come off back order. These are absolutely fantastic and the quality is top-notch. So many uses and mounting methods that its hard to mention all here. I installed mine in a 1400mm FMS Stuka, BF-109 and have several other ideas not yet done for these. They work flawlessly and make adding a simple "fun scale Bomb drop" function your aircraft easy. The time delay modes and built in extra connection allows you to install more than one and have them daisy chained and time delayed for a "Pickle of drop if you want to carry more than one...several other modes are avail by a simple press of a button on the side of the unit.....as said earlier....Easy to set up, and just as easy to install. will definately be ordering more.....I've tried many other similiar products like this and I can say these are the best.

I have not had the chance to use this product yet but i plan on using it on a glider for the release. The order was shipped quickly and i recieved it within a few days

Fit perfect, easy to program and figure out, took me a bit before getting on the right mode, but I love it!

I like the idea of this unit and as far a function it works well. My complaint is it isn't strong enough to last. I bought three of them and two of them broke at the mounting lug. The plastic in this area is very small and made of brittle plastic. I mounted mine on a Hangar 9 Tango which might have something to do with my problem since air-frame vibrates on this model a lot. but i still feel the unit should be stronger.
