Very realistic, good aircraft and airfield selection and was simple to load on my PC.

The best tool to learn RC planes, helis and drones

My son and I have used Real Flight back in version 6.5. This is perhaps the single most important investment you can make if you want to learn RC planes, helis or drones! You still need to go out to the field to fly the real thing but this software will reinforce the muscle memory required to fly better. My son already has the Spektrum DX6 transmitter so we got the software only plus the WS1000 wireless simulator dongle. The WS1000 will allow you to use your own Spektrum transmitter with Real Flight.

amazing simulator

I use this program on a simple dell inspiron 15 inch. The simulator runs fine with no lag. I had the original rf8, it was an excellent program. A few days later and the horizon hobby addition came. It was not worth it, there were practically no changes except maybe 8 planes. I was hesitant to get the rf9 because of how little of an upgrade rf8 horizon hobby addition was. In the rf9 there are so many more planes from horizon hobby in it. My only complaint is that the mah can not be changed on the planes when edited. Everything else can be though. I highly recommend rf9. It is pricey but the planes that you can fly are worth thousands. It even has their newest EC-1500.

Fantastic Software!

As a new pilot, this software has been an invaluable tool for me. In a few days I went from safe only flights to actually flying exclusively in as3x only mode with my timber. While I'm sure it is no replacement for real in person instruction at a club, when combined with some good tutorial videos on youtube it is an outstanding tool for those who don't have access to in person instruction. You can log more flight time in a few hours than you would in weeks which is the real benefit of it. Lots of aircraft choices to advance your skills and from what I have observed, pretty realistic handling when wind and turbulence effects are activated. Like I said, I'm new to flying so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but for me this is the best investment I have made in this hobby so far outside of buying a plane and radio.

REAL FLIGHT 9

I LOVE THIS IT WORKS GREAT I FLY HELICOPTERS AND SOME PLANES IT HELPS WITH HELI'S TO LEARN STICK MOVES I FLY THE 230S V2 AND 330X AND 360 CFX IN REAL LIFE THANKS TO THE SIM I NOW CAN FLY UPSIDE DOWN HOWLLLL KEEP UP THE GOOD STUFF H.H HOWLLLLLLLLLLLL

Q: Today, I purchased the Real-Flight 8 not knowing that you upgraded your product to Real-Flight 9. Is Real-Flight 8 still useful or current with Real-Flight 9 various airplane models available to simulate flight training or should I return Real-Flight 8 for Real-Flight 9 to be the best optimum flight training on various planes? Thank you!

A: It varies a little depending if you have RF 8, or RF 8HHE. If it is the standard RF 8, you won't have access to SAFE/AS3X technology, etc. It will perform well and still allow you to fly but you won't have Horizon models in the simulation. The other thing that RF 9 offers is the InterLink DX which is based on the Spektrum radio chassis. This will build familiarity with a Spektrum radio and the various switches, etc.
RF 8 functions well and is a great simulator, but RF 9 has more features and functionality- including all of the Horizon technology, more models, Eli Field, etc.

Q: I bought RF9 program for the STS Habu but it's not one of the choices to select. I've noticed on Youtube that you can get the Dongle with the purchase of Habu, so is there an update I can get that has the Habu in the update.
