Thanks to an intuitive self-righting Deep-V system, you can push a 2950Kv brushless motor and LiPo ready 30A ESC to the edge without hesitancy. In the event you put the Recoil upside down; a self-right hull makes flipping the Deep-V over as easy as hammering the throttle down. First time boater

I got this boat for my son and I to take to the lake. I am very pleased with it's speed and durability. Self-righting has allowed us to goof off and have fun without worrying about the occasional tip over.

First run=Canopy came off and sunk. That's right, "sunk." I called HH and told them my story and I'll be danged HH sent me a brand Recoil at zero cost to me. That folks is genuine "Customer Service." And this is not the only time HH has taken care of me.

Bought this boat mainly for the grandkids but it’s fun for “papa” too. The transmitter can be adjusted to slow it down for the kids or turned up for even the most experienced rc boat owner. Only complaint is they should include a spare prop. The plastic one that comes with the boat is easy to nick and need replacement. At $12.00 (plus shipping) for two small (32 mm) props, it will add up quickly to keep this boat running efficiently. It is a fun boat to keep running though. You’ll also need a spare battery or two if you want more than 6-8 minutes of run time.

Upgraded to this from the ft009 for my 8 yr old son. Wicked fast. The stock battery is a joke. The 1400's are not enough either. Your going to want at least 4. Even then it's still worth it. My son has learned a ton about high speed operation. Videos do this thing no justice. I read some of the poor reviews on this boat prior to purchasing. Obviously there is more to the story. We went wave jumping in 6ft waves and launched this thing over and over and over. Never lost the lid, never sank, never missed a beat. If you pay attention to what your doing and use common sense you'll be fine.

My First Boat !! I'm Impressed !!

I've had planes ,cars ,trucks over the years but never had a boat ! Saw this one and the price wasn't too bad so I bought it ! I didn't expect a lot for this price but was I surprised ! Took this thing out the first time and " WOW " it was a Screamer ! It can get a little unstable at the higher speeds but man is it fun ! If you make sure the hatch is latched correctly and put a little tape around it you don't get much water inside ! I have run this thing dozens of times since I got it without a problem ! One thing to note though is that the allen head screws that they put in this boat are WAY over tight so try to use a good fitting allen wrench and take your time in trying to loosen them !! Sometimes a good penetrating spray will help ! A NOTE TO PRO BOAT OR HORIZON : ALLEN SCREWS DO NOT NEED TO BE THIS TIGHT !!!!! Otherwise a great little boat !!
