Great little boats!
Review by Baddaddy on 12 Aug 2018review stating Great little boats!
Recently bought 2 of these boats for the lakehouse for friends and family to play with when visiting. Since they looked identical, I used Monokote trim to make one predominantly blue and the other pink so we could tell them apart. These were fun right out of the box! Boats are quick and agile. Kids and adults have fun with them and they have proved to be remarkably durable. What started as accidental collisions soon became intentional! They handle the abuse with ease. What is really cool is how they handle big waves. They fly out of the water like flying fish and just keep on running. If you hit waves just right they propel themselves under water to about a foot deep before re-emerging. The self righting feature is as advertised and sooooo helpful! Just great fun! The only complaints I have is that they take a long time to charge and because of the connectors I cannot use any of my other LiPo chargers. Still, with 2 packs each, we get a good amount of time to play before they go back on charge. The other issue is that one of the transmitters makes the "low power" beep as soon as you turn it on. This beep is supposed to warn you when you have approximately one minute of battery power left. I've learned to ignore it and just wait for the other transmitter to beep before bringing both boats in. I would definitely recommend these to others. Great fun for the money. You really need two to get max benefit though. You always win if you just race yourself!

Review by Havo96 on 25 May 2017review stating Fantastic First Boat!
Having been into airplanes for 8 years, I wanted to get into the marine side of RC. I'm extremely glad I chose the React 17. This boat is extremely easy to get used to. It's comical how stable it is on the water, even at full speed, I literally can't get it to flip over or lose control even when I purposefully try hard maneuvers. The build quality is definitely superb, I've run aground and hit debris in the water many many times, yet received no damage aside from a few cosmetic scratches on the bottom of the hull. Battery life is a solid 10 minutes at full throttle, and generously 15 minutes if you're easy on it. The included transmitter is just what I was expecting in a Horizon quality product, with easy trimming and very efficient on batteries (Much more so than my DX6i). Maintenance is simple, the occasional grease of the flex shaft and cleaning. At full throttle on a hot summer day it may run slightly hot even with the water cooling, but this is typical of brushed motors anyways. I've been able to fit it in a backpack easily by removing the rudder and placing it inside along with the bolt that goes with it inside the boat itself for easy and safe storage. As far as beginners, it's very hard to go wrong, Pro Boat definitely left a lot of great features for this reason. The low voltage warning built into the transmitter, and self righting are extremely useful, even though I only self righten when I drop it into the water upside down upon launch. Again, I cannot stress how stable this boat is. Overall a solid buy for anyone wanting to get into marine RC. 5/5 without mentioning that boat looks great, even when it's still- pic related, taken by a friend, on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas.

Great little boat!
Review by Psychron on 11 Oct 2017review stating Great little boat!
For the money, you can't beat this little beast. She's a blast to drive all over the lake. I've got multiple chargers and batteries so I can just keep going and going and going.
The range is incredible, and the responsiveness, and how fast it gets on plane is amazing. Plus there's the auto righting feature, which was the main reason I bought this boat because I've seen too many boaters "fishing" or just waiting for the current to bring their boat ashore and it really works. I am looking forward to the next outing at the lake. In my review video I throw it in upside down and show how that works.
Here's a video review I did of the boat I called it a 12 inch but it's 17. Make no mistake, this i a fun little boat, and I show off the auto righting feature.
