Excellent little boat
Review by Mswfox on 17 Sep 2016review stating Excellent little boat
I purchased the Miss Geico 17 for use in Lake Travis. For those of you who aren't familiar with Central Texas, Lake Travis is a very large lake with large boats and can easily have 2 foot rollers and breaking waves on a busy weekend day. This little boat handles it all like a champ! I would actually say this boat is more fun on a busy day with lots of waves as you can jump it and "surf" the breaking waves all day long. I swear I've had this little boat in the pipe of a breaking wave before and it's an absolute blast.
The one time that I did manage to flip this surprisingly stable boat is when I did get caught up in a breaking wave. Even with my downright abusive piloting, it runs and runs without a hitch. I simply pull the drain plug after every run, let it dry out, and I'm ready for another session.
A few things to note: this boat is not fast. It's just not, I would say in real life it probably tops out around 12-14 mph with some chop. That doesn't mean it isn't fun, though. The included 1200 mAh battery has about a 9-12 minute runtime depending on how much dropoff is acceptable to you. I pull them right off the peak charger (while still warm) and run them like that.
One final note - the drain plug started coming loose after a few times removing/inserting it and it eventually fell out during a run. They are $7 to replace, which I think is shockingly stupid. Let's be honest, it's a $.99 part. I would advise to get an extra right away.

The R.3.0 star rating
Review by The R. on 29 May 2018review stating Just Odd...
It is just odd. My good friend has bought one of these and one having some fun and let me try it. I had a ball so I decided to purchase one. First off very easy to set up, not very fast in speed but just very perfect for enjoyment. (the charger is awesome!). Then my friend started running into some issues, his esc over heated, battery died, new esc over heated, and motor burned out. Mine soon later has a esc burned out. I have never flipped or even got a drop of water inside this boat. I purchased a new esc and was back up and running. Soon later my battery decided to quick and I was done with this boat. I would have been more convinced if this did not happen to my friends boat as well, but because with all of the SAME issues we experienced I was just done. I have now moved on and fly airplanes, now looking back into boats, (jet jam or react). HH planes, cars, and helicopters they sell are all great as I have owned many from them, but they just didn't nail this one.

Used the boat for the first time today. After about 5 minutes the batteries and ESC became extremely hot. The ESC began to smoke and actually melted. The boat's fried after normal use. It's just poorly designed and pretty cheap. Will return and get a refund.
