These two ATSF GP38-2âs were originally purchased by the Toledo, Peoria & Western from EMD in May 1977 in a group of 11 units. When they joined the Santa Fe fleet they were initially numbered in the 3561-series. Within a year or so they were renumbered into the 2370-series, 6 of which received the ill-fated âKodachromeâ SPSF paint scheme.
