Skill Level 2 – Next Step Pilots

Some Experience Required

Skill Level 2 “Next Step” aircraft are the best choice for “low-time” pilots who have successfully learned to fly with a Skill Level 1 “trainer” and are ready to graduate to their next aircraft. They’re a natural next step for pilots who have learned the basics and are looking to build confidence while expanding their skills. Some experience is required to fly them, but they’re typically easier to assemble, take off, fly, and land than Skill Level 3 and beyond models. They’re also an excellent choice for intermediate to expert pilots interested in hassle-free and fun to fly aircraft!

All Skill Level 2 aircraft are available in a Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) Basic version that includes a factory-installed receiver compatible with the Spektrum™ DXS transmitter included with many of the most popular Blade® helicopter, E-flite® and HobbyZone® airplane trainer models. Many also include a receiver loaded with a Smart Transmitter File (STF) that allows you to automatically import all settings for NX and iX series transmitters during the binding process to get you flying faster. They also feature Spektrum AS3X® (Artificial Stabilization 3-aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence, plus optional-use SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology – that offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling, which can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch – to make them even easier to fly.
