Purchased a AR010T 8 channel

Purchased a AR010T 8 channel receiver. Needed away to register it. Found this program cable, ordered it. Followed the instructions, receiver is now registered, plus the app you download will keep the receiver updated when new updates come out. Glad i found this, great help with my plane.

Need this for DXe programming

I purchased a second hand DXe transmitter for a Twin Otter that was gifted to me. I soon realized that I need this cable to be able to update and program the transmitter for this plane. I had to place a call to HH tech support so they could walk me through the process the first time. Now I feel like I can do it with out issue. I like that this cable will do both Tx and Rx. Again, if you purchase a DXe transmitter, you will need this cable.

Very Good

If you have a choice between programming your AS3X receiver using a PC with this cable or and iPhone or iPad, I would recommend the PC. The PC program has more features and is rock solid stable. The IOS/iPhone does work, it’s just slower and can be finicky at times. If you’re setup with this cable and a PC, you’re golden. I use a Windows 10 tablet with the cable and it works great. It gives you the portability like an iPhone and super reliability.

It works as advertised...

Though I would way rather have the 635 back. Not everyone wants to carry a laptop to the field or has a $300 smart phone for the other cable. Its almost like they trap you into keeping there preloading settings on there BNF models which seems to be all they sell anymore. :-(

DXe

It worked well for registering and programing my transmitter. I was using a computer running Windows 10. It worked as advertised. It arrived in good time so I could get out and flying. I had a little trouble with the app at first, but it might have been just me.

Q: I understand how you connect it to a receiver but i don't see any connection for it on my DX6E. How to you connect it to your transmitter?

A: This cable is for DXe and DXS transmitters. Use an SD card to update your DX6e.
