Large, expensive, but very good
Review by Carrizojim on 8 Sep 2015review stating Large, expensive, but very good
I purchased this Castle Phoenix Edge 100a ESC for a serious upgrade on my Habu 2. This speed control is large and heavy. Make sure you pay attention to make sure it will fit your application. Incorrect placement will definitely affect your CG. This Phoenix is super reliable and has plenty of juice in the BEC to power several digital servos. This is the best brand of ESC on the market. You won't be sorry.

Castle esc = wait time
Review by Radvalve on 10 Apr 2020review stating Castle esc = wait time
This will be the last castle esc I buy, not that they are not reliable its just there inability / willingness to include the link adapter in the box! If you’re like me and want to get your plane back in the air as soon as the esc arrives at your door FORGET IT! In the specs it says it has a user select able BEC voltage from 5 to 8.4 volts. After unboxing I got ready to program using the beeps and my transmitter, I found they do not give you the option to select the BEC voltage using the beeps/transmitter! The BEC default is 5v I need 6v. You have to get online at there website and give them a coupon code that’s in the box and they send a free link adapter, REALLY! Why not just have it in the esc box instead of a darn coupon! Oh yea, you also need there usb cable that cost $7. Its bad enough I have to download there software on my computer along with any spyware or mailware that might come with it but also have to wait for more items before I can even put in the plane, I feel customers spending over a 100 bucks for there products should have EVERYTHING in the esc box that’s needed not a coupon for a free item! From the phone number listed on there web site it does not even look like they are in my country, who knows how long my planes grounded!
