FAQ

Yes. The left stick on the transmitter (controller) is the throttle control. The higher you raise the throttle stick, the faster the propellers spin and the faster the plane flies. To land, simply drop the throttle stick down and the aircraft will slow down and descend.

The Duet's airplane battery is rechargeable and is charged through the port on the bottom of the transmitter (controller). The transmitter itself uses 4 alkaline batteries (non-rechargeable). To increase transmitter battery life, you can get a standalone USB charger for the airplane's battery. The part number is EFLC1008, and it will save you money in the long term so you aren't continuously buying AA batteries.

The Duet cannot be buddy boxed as the radio system works on a proprietary 2.4 GHz protocol. It's a super-stable easy to fly airplane and wants to fly level so is easy for the beginner to fly. You can get it up to a safe altitude and hand the controller to the learner and, if need be, take the controller back if they descend below this altitude, with plenty of time to regain control.

No, the Duet uses a different 2.4GHz protocol.

The flight battery plugs directly into the base of the transmitter. Page 5 of the instruction manual shows the process.
