Front landing gear
Review by Big652 on 28 Apr 2013review stating Front landing gear
I mention this on the overall plane rating and I can't say it enough that the front landing gear is very weak, especially for a beginner. The way the breakage occurs, you're almost in the position to have to buy complete new fuselage. The spring that's located in the front gear works only in an almost vertical strike. When you come in a little hard on the nose gear. It bends backwards and also the plastic support pieces are not able to support that type of pressure. If the spring and the gear was located higher up. This would absorb some of that impact. I think you need to look at this design as if the front gear was beefed up, I'd say you have the best trainer ever! The plane flies absolutely beautiful. I've had experienced flyers fly it. And they love it. Their comments are its most stable trainer they've ever flown, and it will also do loops, roles, etc. so somebody can carried on in the intermediate sport flying and get lots of use out of it other than just a trainer. Please redesign the front gear as I will bet that it will be well worth the money spent to redesign it. Great plane once again!!
