The A6M Zero was a long-range fighter aircraft operated by the Imperial Japanese Air Service. In early combat operations, the Zero gained a legendary reputation as a 'dogfighter' remaining king of the air until around 1943. The aircraft was designed with long range and performance in mind, durability and pilot protection were not considered priorities which led to many very good pilots loosing their lives. Ultimately this resulted in an Allied advantage later in the war.
FMS has continuously developed and improved its 1400 Series of this famous Aircraft. The new Zero brings a cleverly constructed and extremely agile aircraft to add your hangar.

Saburo Sakai would love this Zero !
Review by The H. on 2 Jul 2019review stating Saburo Sakai would love this Zero !
Fantastic flying model that shows really well at the flying club. Always gets compliments. Fly's like it's on rails and yet is very maneuverable. The only drawback is that it is almost impossible to land/takeoff on anything more than golf course height grass. Stick to a paved or fabric runway and no worries. Grass is almost always a nose over, especially on landing. The model has been around for some years now. It would be nice if FMS would upgrade the retracts to a suspension set.

Review by Robert on 15 Dec 2013review stating Outstanding Model
I have several foam warbirds, but this is the best one I have gotten so far. It is my first FMS PNP and I was impressed with the workmanship and how complete the model comes in the box. Also impressive, was the model coming from Florida to Indiana in just three days.. My expectations were exceeded in both the model and the delivery.

Bad rudder servo caused brownout crashed on maiden not bad but still very disappointing
FMS needs to up their game in the electronics department buyer beware
Still it's a great plane but be prepared to change stuff out starting with the plastic gear rudder servo
