Poor Quality Servo
Review by George E. on 1 Sep 2017review stating Poor Quality Servo
These are the servos that came with my Eflite Commander. One was bad out of the box and since then 3 more have gone bad. The elevator and rudder servos I replaced with bigger 17g servos since there was room. Then an aileron servo went and I bought the replacement servo from Horizon. After the second aileron servo went I have had it with these servos and put a different one in. In all the bad servos, it was just the tiny gear at the top that went bad. Horizon does not sell gear sets for this servo and told me they only offer the replacement servos. Now, I will admit to some hard landings but no more than my other planes. Another club member has had similar problems with his Commander so I feel there is a problem with the quality control for these servos.

Review by Dbl J. on 20 Sep 2018review stating Crappy Servo!
I recently purchased the Cirrus SR22. It comes with two of the said service. I had both of them fail on my maiden flight. The first one stripped in Flight during a maneuver. I was able to get it back down to a decent altitude but the landing wasnt pretty but not a crash either. That is when I noticed the rudder wheel servo stripped as well. Based on my history with Horizon products I thought it was a fluke and considering amount of planes I own and product I purchased I found it acceptable for this one to be a defect. Because the servers were on backorder and I did a little bit of damage to the plane in the crash landing I purchased another one and intended on keeping the other as a parts plane. The same exact thing happened on my maiden flight to the brand new plane and I checked the servos and check everything thoroughly PreFlight. The servos definitely need to be swapped out with something of higher quality I've never had this problem with any other product I purchased from Horizon. Very very disappointed and out 500$ and still not in the air because the servos are backordered.
