Impulse buy I don't regret.
Review by Hammr412 on 28 Mar 2020 review stating Impulse buy I don't regret.
The Trx4 Sport is my first crawler and I fell in love with the portal axle performance. I love RZR side-by-sides and the Capra caught my eye on the shelf. This review will compare the two rigs.
IT'S A BEAST. I thought I would never buy another crawler after the Trx4. Lets be real- the Sport is H.E.A.V.Y. On a 3650 3s, it seemed to run forever. I'm running a 4300 3s shorty in the Capra and it'll double the Trx4 run time. The tube body makes for a very light truck. Honestly, the two trucks are cousins in how they drive. Both are quick on 3s and phenomenal.
With the reduced weight of a non-steel chassis, a tad wider stance, and with the DIG feature, the Capra does pull just slightly ahead!
While the Capra can crawl more tricky terrain, the Trx4 will flip itself back onto its wheels most of the time. I have to walk over to the Capra if I'm sideways almost every time. Also, the Capra blew the DIG servo on my first big drive, which brings me to the point that you're looking at 12 screws to unfasten in order to get to that servo....or anything motor/transmission related. The Sport is open to the public in 4 e-clips.
I am in love with this truck and cannot wait to snag that Rubicon!
