Nothing turns heads out at the airfield quite like RC jets. They’re fast, they’re fun, and they’re sure to get your adrenaline pumping. Because of their high speeds, many RC jets are not recommended for beginners; however, we do have a few in our lineup that are designed with the beginner RC jet pilot in mind to help get you “up to speed” that much faster. Not sure which one is right for you? Use our “Skill Level” filter and start with a Level 1 if you’re just getting started. These will typically be your Ready-to-Fly (RTF) trainer model jets and will feature advanced safety features like SAFE from Spektrum.

Advanced RC Jets

We’ve got RC jets with speeds upwards of 100 MPH for the more advanced RC jet pilot looking for a challenge. You’ll find many of these model jets feature scale details that bring your favorite military jets to the world of RC, like the F-18 Super Hornet, F-14 Tomcat, F-16 Fighting Falcon, and the air show favorite, the F-16 Thunderbird. The electric jet engines in these models can produce a lot of power, despite their size. You’ll be able to pair your favorite RC transmitter to many of these more advanced RC jet planes or even bring your own RC receiver and other electronics into the action as we know many advanced RC pilots enjoy the customization that this brings to the hobby.

Turbine RC Jets

What’s faster than a fast RC jet? A turbine jet, of course! They’re also bigger which helps them carry more power. The world record holder for a turbine RC jet was clocked at over 400 MPH! After speed, what do most RC pilots say is the best part about operating a turbine jet? The sound! We have electric RC jets that mimic the sound of a turbine engine, but there really isn’t anything quite like the scale realism you get with an actual RC turbine engine. There are air shows around the world dedicated to the turbine RC jet and some hobby air shows will even hold turbine jets for the end of the show to save the best for last and leave the spectators in awe. They’re fast, fun, loud, and simply amazing to fly. But if you plan to enter the world of turbine RC jets, keep in mind that like nitro and gas RC cars, turbines require more maintenance and understanding of how they operate. Take the time to read the manual fully and understand what you’ll need to do to maintain and maximize the performance of your turbine jet. Safety is a must when you start reaching these maximum speeds. Check with the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) for more information about turbine jet safety and their waiver.
