It’s quite rare and very exciting to find an airplane with outstanding aerobatic performance at a price that even the most budget-minded modeler can afford. This combination of performance and value is what makes Seagull Models a unique brand.
For superior aerobatic precision and performance at a nice price, try the new Edge 540 60 ARF from Seagull. With its exacting control and handling, hovers, torque rolls and other maneuvers feel smooth to the touch. Snap rolls, knife-edge, inside and outside loops...this plane can do it all. Its 3D performance is almost on par with that of higher-priced ARFs, making this Edge 540 a tremendous value.
It’s also totally up-to-date with the latest trends in styling and performance. Its built-up construction uses high-quality balsa and plywood, and it is hand-built, covered and trimmed by professional craftsmen. The Hangar 9® UltraCote® covering and fiberglass cowl and wheel pants add to its sleek look.
The engine should be mounted at 5" from the prop drive hub to the firewall. With some 4 stroke engines such as the Saito 100 one of the carb mounting screws may conact the engine mount in the back at this distance. If this occurs, install the engine at 5 1/8". You can later mount the cowling a little further foward to compensate for this 1/8" difference.
Before gluing the pushrods into the pushrod ends, be sure to measure the needed pushrod length in your set up, and cut the pushrods to length as necessary with your servos centered. Be sure your measurements are correct before cutting the pushrod to length. In this kit, the pushrods for the elevator and rudder were cut down roughly 5/8", however this will very based on servo position, control horn location, and servos used.
