The Pro Boat 1/12-scale Miss Elam has gotten a heart transplant. The donor: a powerful brushless motor system and ESC that propels the 1/12-Scale Miss Elam Brushless Hydro across the water at speeds normally reserved for nitro boats. The powerful brushless system is water-cooled to keep temps down. And it’s not just the motor that features water-cooling as the ESC also shares this feature. In typical ProBoat fashion the 1/12-Scale Miss Elam Brushless Hydro is a complete RTR and comes out of the box ready for the water.
Saito™ engines have been popular with control line enthusiasts for many years; however, they always required carburetor modifications to make them suitable for control line models. But, now the new FA-40CL comes with a control line carburetor allowing the user to easily adjust the power output to meet the needs of their model. The lightweight construction and 4-stroke power are excellent matches for this kind of model. This Saito engine gives us a chance to have more fun with a different sort of small field flying model.
