Position: Materials Handler (2nd shift)

We have recently increased our starting wages for the 2nd shift Material Handler positions.
The Material Handler will be responsible for relocating inventory from backstock to primary pick locations throughout the entire warehouse. Full time and part time positions available. Part time positions work over 25 hours per week.

Qualifications/Experience:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum 10 years business leadership and corporate wide information technology support function experience. Demonstrated track record of aligning organizations information technology needs with business strategic goals, delivering results and making solid business decisions.
2. Previous experience supporting a large Distribution Center is required. Experience with WMS, Supply Chain, Logistics and other warehouse software is required. Prefer someone who has overseen the implementation of enterprise WMS application.
3. Must be versed in business principles and techniques of administration, organizational development, leadership and management to include an in-depth understanding of the key business issues that exist in a distribution and product innovation organization. These include, but are not limited to, knowledge of strategic and operational planning, distribution and supply chain economics, EDI and communications, domestic and international commerce requirements, marketing, financial and cost analysis, trends in distribution channels, customer engagement strategies, as well as ecommerce theory and practice.
4. Extensive experience negotiating with and selecting vendors for the purchase of/implementation of Enterprise software applications.
5. BS/BA degree, MBA preferred. BS/BA in business or in information systems/information technology.

Position: Stocker

The Inventory Control Associate will be personally accountable for all inventory from the time the product is properly placed into a reserve area until such time as a picker selects an item from a primary pick location. Communicate with Proprietary Purchasing to ensure that all purchasing information, expected inventory levels, lead times and system information is set-up for new product releases in assigned categories.
Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience working with and building RC products. Experience that includes extensive knowledge of all types of R/C product and support equipment is a must.
College degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Must be a self-motivated process oriented thinker along with being organized and very detail oriented.

SUMMARY
The Distribution Systems Analyst is responsible for selecting, implementing and maintaining the hardware infrastructure located in the Distribution Center. Product Preparation: All proprietary product that arrives at the Ontario Distribution Center must pass through one or more of the various preparation processes, and this is monitored and managed through the Proprietary Supervisor. The Proprietary Supervisor is responsible for management of those processes and procedures necessary to assure a shipment is directed appropriately and processed timely.
3. Product Problem Resolution: Product shipments arriving with known issues, or for issues discovered after product has been released for sale, the Proprietary Supervisor will facilitate resolution, and partner with Purchasing and other appropriate departments.
4. Communication: The product preparation department communicates with the rest of the organization at large regarding the present status and/or disposition of various product shipments and individual products within a shipment.
5. Proprietary Product Vendor Compliance Management: The product management and purchasing organization negotiate various shipping requirements with each vendor, but do not have access to directly monitor whether vendors are consistently compliant with theses requirements. The PPD is the organization largely responsible for monitoring and reporting vendor compliance in the normal course of their activities.
6. Preparation Cost Management: The PPD maintains a consistent set of costing metrics for accounting for their labor and materials in preparing products for sale.

• Must be able to establish, document, update and track quality metrics, preferably through the use of Statistical Process Control procedures or similar methodology.

• "Hands - On" management style is required.

SUMMARY—
Combine specialized knowledge and principles of mechanical engineering with significant experience of radio controlled model cars to design, build, test, and analyze RC products. This will include the creation of parts and engineering drawings for prototype and production at both domestic and international vendors, and creation of exploded views for instruction manuals. This position requires participation in all processes and stages of new product development. Similar positions at Losi have a history of being dynamic and requiring the holder to have an open mind and demonstrate an ability to generate innovative solutions to the design challenges.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES—
1. Design and assist in design of both on-road and off-road radio controlled model cars and accessories applying knowledge of engineering principles and extensive hobby experience.
2. Aid in design layout of instruction manuals. Also to include kit assembly sequence, creation of line drawings and wording.
3. Assist in any engineering duties deemed necessary.
4. Coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of radio controlled model cars.
5. Research and analyze data, such as design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

Responsibilities Include:
Proprietary Receiving is part of the Proprietary Processing Department. Like all departments at Horizon, we are a service provider. We are a service provider to Proprietary Packaging Clerks, Proprietary Purchasing, Sales and the end consumer.
In Proprietary Receiving we do a variety of duties that include:
1. Receive product from venders on containers (from over seas or from domestic suppliers), UPS, Fed X or other trucking companies
2. Offload containers and trucks from a variety of sources (many will be floor loaded, some will be palette loaded)
3. Inspect shipments for proper content and damage
4. Prepare shipments for re-distribution to our corporate office in Champaign, IL
5. Stock product in back stock locations for long term storage
6. Deliver received shipments to Proprietary Packaging for labeling, packaging or inspection
7. Help Domestic Receiving, Inventory Control or Proprietary Packaging with any variety of duties when time allows
Qualifications/Experience:
Our goal is to receive the product as quickly as possible using an organized and safe system. Many of our containers are floor loaded; therefore proper lifting and safety procedures are imperative. Position: Tranship Coordinator

Responsibilities Include:
The Transship Facilitator works as part of the Proprietary Receiving department. Able to perform the same tasks as a receiver, the primary focus of this position is to schedule, load, and administer transships to and from the Ontario facility. The secondary focus is to release QA product as prescribed by emails from various sources (primarily Purchasing or Product Development).
Roles & Responsibilities
Transship Responsibilities:
• Load transship orders onto trucks using appropriate equipment.
• Communicate with other departments in person, telephone and email.
• Perform administrative steps including copies, notification emails, and proofing.
• Occasionally invoice orders when loaded.
• Proof orders for accurate labeling.
QA Release responsibilities:
• Release items from RSVQA into stock.
• Monitor remaining product for age or labeling errors.
• Must be efficient, accurate and able to articulate problems verbally and in writing.
• Self-driven and able to prioritize workload and know when to involve management.
• Make appropriate inventory moves to keep stock properly balanced in the system
Qualifications/Experience:

• AS400 (I520) experience (specific functions can be trained), IC30, IT40, RF Gun and Invoice screens a huge plus.
• Outlook email, Reach-truck, Order picker and Wave trained (or other necessary equipment)
Physical Demands
The position will require operating heavy equipment (forklifts, palette jacks, order pickers, etc.) The position involves manually loading or offloading shipments that are floor loaded. The job can often be very physically demanding.
The environment is somewhat cold in the winter months, hot during the summer and more extreme than an indoor work environment. Our climate control is limited to fans; there is very little exposure to the outdoor heat or rain.
Receiving Clerks commonly need to lift boxes or items less than 25 pounds, often between 25-50 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds. Dolly’s, Pallet jacks, and forklifts are available for heavier packages (Lifts are to be used by authorized personnel only).
Using the computer and being in front of a monitor is common but rarely for long periods of time.
Safety is our number one concern.
