Flashing red and green indicates the charger is ready to charge. If you have the primary plug as well as the balance plug both plugged in the charger, set you amperage (4A in your case), and press the start button. The charger will begin charging the battery. Refer to the included manual for more LED indicator meanings.
No, you must use a Spektrum charger with the G2 line.
There is no indication of mAh input to the battery during charging. That will generally require a charger with an LED screen.
There are many variables when calculating charge time, including charge rate, and the state of charge of the battery. If you were to charge a depleted 8.4V 3300Mah NiMh battery at the maximum 4A rate, it would in theory take 50 minutes to charge. In reality it might be a slightly less than that.
